How we test

There are hundreds of Sims 4 cheat sites. What separates this one isn’t the number of codes — it’s that nothing goes here until someone has tried it in the game. Here are the rules, so you can judge what that’s worth.
THE RULE

We don't guess

We never write that we’ve tested something we haven’t. When a code says Tested, it has been run in the game, by us, on a known game version — and the date and version are there so you can judge how old the information is.

It’s also why large parts of the hybrid table are grey. Empty squares aren’t a shortcoming — they’re the difference between a table you can trust and one that’s merely filled in.
THE TWO MARKINGS

Tested and documented are not the same

Under each code there is either one, the other, both or nothing. The difference is worth knowing, because it says how much we vouch for the information ourselves.
Tested
We have entered the code in the console ourselves and seen what happened. There is always a date and a game version next to it. It’s the only claim on this site we stand behind ourselves — and the one you won’t find on other cheat sites.
Documented
The code is described in a public source, but we haven’t tried it here. So it wasn’t invented in a comment thread, but we can’t guarantee it still works in your game version either. Most codes on the site sit here until they’ve been run through.
Needs re-checking
We have tested the code, but the game has been updated since. It probably still works — we just stop claiming it until it’s been run on the new version. We don’t remove it in the meantime.
If there is nothing under a code, we have neither tested it nor found it described somewhere we’d point to.
THE FIVE CHECKS

The same five questions, every time

Hybrid combinations get a more thorough treatment than ordinary codes, because they can fail in more ways. We don’t give stars — a star is a matter of taste, and it can’t be verified. Instead we ask the same five questions of every combination and answer yes, no or undetermined.
  1. 01Do both perk trees survive? It isn’t enough that the Sim gets both types. If one tree is reset, the hybrid is useless in practice.
  2. 02Can the interface be switched? The game shows only one occult interface at a time. If you can’t get back to the other one, half of it is unreadable.
  3. 03Does it survive a reload? We close the game completely and open the save again. A lot that looks like it works doesn’t survive that.
  4. 04Does it survive ageing? The Sim is taken through at least one life stage. Occult types are tied to age, and this is where many combinations fall apart.
  5. 05Does it survive a patch? When EA ships an update, we run the combination again. That’s the check that keeps the table alive.
THE LIMITS

What we don't do

Just as important as the method is what it doesn’t cover.

We don't test everything

There are far more combinations than we get through. The untested ones stay untested — we don’t fill them in with guesses.

We test without mods

Everything runs in a clean game. If something only works with a mod, it doesn’t belong in the table.

We test one installation

Our results come from our own game with our own packs. If you have different packs, your experience may differ.

We don't re-check the documented

Codes marked Documented haven’t been run here. If one of them doesn’t work, we’d very much like to hear about it.

Found a code that doesn't work?

Then we’d like to know. Tell us which code it is and which game version you’re running — we’ll run it again and correct the marking. It’s the fastest way to keep this site alive, and it’s also how more squares in the hybrid table get filled in.
